South Africa is a magnificent country.
The Hunneyball House bus took us on a 3800 km round trip this week. Starting in Stellenbosch we travelled across the Great Karoo to Pretoria and back. We visited a few sites of historical importance and were welcomed everywhere we went. We hoped to learn by meeting South Africans along the way and the people we met were keen to tell us their stories.
The skies were clear, the roads were open and in great condition and the first early spring daisies had begun to bloom. We also we saw some early returning seasonal birds.
Some places visited.
- Hex River Valley.
- Scandinavian memorial
- Central Johannesburg, Hillbrow, Sandton etc.
- Union Buildings
- Nelson Mandela Square
- Voortrekker Monument
